FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OVER $450,000.00 RAISED FOR THOSE BATTLING BREAST CANCER
Huntsville, Ontario - February 9, 2025 - This past weekend the 26th Anniversary Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Run was a great success! Over $450,000.00 was raised in pledges and corporate sponsorship, with more expected to come in this week. Bringing the 26-year fundraising total to over 9 million dollars. Hidden Valley Resort in Huntsville was the host resort again for this year’s event.
The event kicked off Friday with the Pink Market, where participants could take advantage of some great deals from various vendors in support of the cause. Friday evening, the Meet’N’Greet kicked off Kelly’s Beach Party and was a fun-filled evening hosted by Carey Moran from PURE Country 106. Contests and Games were played, allowing the participants to mingle and meet new people and teammates. Saturday morning was beautiful as 110 riders suited up and painted the Muskoka trails pink. Opening ceremonies were festive and emotional as the participants honoured the survivors, the warriors and the angels we lost along the way with a moment of silence. Groups rode to the lunch destination in Kearney, where they were treated to a wonderful lunch supplied by the Muskoka Beach House. Lunch was graciously sponsored once again by Canada Cartage. Teams arrived back at Hidden Valley resort in the afternoon. The evening gala was hosted by the dynamic duo and breast cancer survivors, Johanne Belanger and Beth Potter. It was a fun evening full of laughter, awards, speeches, and auctions before we danced the night away.
