3 years ago today we experienced a great loss. Her memory lives strong through all of us and our hard efforts to keep her dream alive of helping women with breast cancer. Missing you lot's Kel.....we always try to remember what you wanted us to do....DANCE LIKE NOBODY IS WATCHING! You may be gone but never forgotten!

Almost 3 years since we lost Kelly to a better place.... but her memory and legacy will live on forever in me and many others that she touched if only for a second. (or she danced in front of - like no one was EVER watching!!) I am the proud recipient of the Betty Black Memorial award from years back and also had the great honor of singing along with the angels as they welcomed Kelly at her celebration of life. My Mom has had her 5 year cancer free ticket this year and with the support and positive role models like Kelly that were forever-giving and always there when you needed a shoulder to cry or laugh on.... it just made it easier to get to this point. I have since moved to Alberta and miss so much being able to share such a fun-filled, emotionally charged weekend with everyone. Perhaps one year you should all come West??? I am the proud Mom of a new baby boy this past week and it really makes you realize just how precious life is all over again. My girls are already 8 & 11 years old!! Time flies! For those of you contemplating joining the Run for 2008 - JUST DO IT!! It will be one of the most memorable weekends of your life leading up to it... the actual run... and how you have changed after it forever. God Bless each and every one of you fighting the fight yourself or supporting a loved one!! You all ROCK!!!! And don't forget to DANCE!!!!!!!!!! Lots of Love Always - Shelley Welsh 780-623-9489

Feb 4/07,LADIES, Thanks so much for the interview Suzy & Liz,  it was an honour to have the event in Haliburton ,all the great ladies & men to keep Kelly's dream alive, she was blessed to have such great friends.Although mother nature did not supply much snow Liz tells me a good time was had by all. When Suzy asked for a show of hands of who has been affected by breast cancer, most people had. My sister-in-law Val has 3 boys 12,11 & 9 she was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with breast cancer, she's doing well now,and because of Kelly's Breast Cancer trust your donation helped lighten the burden a little.THANKS TO THE" KELLY SHIRES BREAT CANCER SNOW RUN".  to all the volunteers Keep up the good work!!!

Hey there Sled Ed (Medina) sorry to hear that you won't be making the trek this year, I just hope we get enough snow.  I wanted to know if you got the photos of us (Donna, you and me) from last year's event.  I sent them to her via e mail for her to send to you but didn't know if you got them and no way to contact you let me know and I'll send them to you if you didn't get them.  Once again sorry that you can't come.  Last year I rode Cat this year I have a new Ski-Doo like the one you crunched, hopefully I won't be taking over your crown.

2006 Sled Ed

Hello Ladies,

This is from your "crowned sled ed 2006".  First i want to say i wish you guys all the best and hope you guys have lots of fun, as i know you will.  Last year was my first year participating and it was the most awesome experience I ever had.  Although I wrecked my snowmobile (which i take pride in so much) it was worth it!!  Unfortunately this year things haven't worked out the way I was hoping and i can't make it, but I will be thinking about you guys and wishing I could be there!

Again all the best and i hope to see you guys next year!!!

A quote from George Carlin the comedian

Life is not measured in the breathes we take but what takes our breath away! To see all thoses sleds last year in Huntsville and the dedication and friendship of all those people took my breath away .
